How We Calculate
Square footage calculations are based on factory exterior panel dimensions for each vehicle class, sourced from professional wrap installer databases and manufacturer specifications. A 15% buffer is automatically added for overlapping seams, panel wraps behind door jambs, and installation waste.
Linear feet is calculated by dividing total square footage by the roll width in feet. This tells you exactly how many feet of vinyl to order from a roll. Standard rolls are sold in 25 ft increments, though many suppliers sell by the linear foot.
Installation estimates reflect typical professional labor rates in the US market (2025). DIY installation is possible but requires heat guns, squeegees, and experience to avoid bubbles and lifting at panel edges.
